All worming drugs are essentially poisons.  Raising toxicity levels in wormers hastens the development of worm resistance and exposes animals to unnecessary toxic chemicals.  Synthetic wormers actually poison worms and protozoa, and at the same time overstress the liver and kidneys, forced to filter the poisons. Long-term exposure to these toxins can actually shut down organs. The greater the toxicity levels of chemical wormers, the greater the risk of overdosing. An herbal approach to heartworm prevention is not like a traditional heartworm pharmaceutical preventative, which chemically kills all heartworm larvae, but it may be an effective, safe and more natural method to prevent heartworm infection.

Ingredients: Organic grain alcohol, organic oat seed, organic black walnut hulls, and organic parsley root.

Wormwood Aerial Parts (Artemisia absinthium) – May help eliminate microfilaria and developmental stage heartworm parasites in the bloodstream, and may help create an unfavorable environment for parasites.

Black Walnut Green Hulls (Juglans nigra) – Contains astringent tannins that may help kill and expel a variety of worms and other parasites

Oat Seed (Avena sativa) – A source of healthy fiber that helps maintain immune-supporting gut bacteria.

Parsley Root (Petroselium crispum) – Has blood- and liver-purifying properties; supplies Vitamin K; and has strong antioxidant capability.

Typical Preparations

*Dosage suggestion: (for dogs and cats) – 3 times per day, give 1 drop for every 2 pounds of body weight up to 50 pounds, plus 1 drop for every 4 pounds of body weight over 50 pounds. For example, a 70 lb. dog would be given 25 drops + 5 drops = 30 drops, three times each day (total 90 drops).

Consistent dosing is essential for proper protection along with heartworm testing at least every 6 months.

A tincture is a concentrated liquid form of an herb.  Tinctures preserve and concentrate the properties of the herb, which makes the effects of the herb stronger and longer lasting.  Our alcohol based tinctures have a shelf life of several years and can be consumed in water or under the tongue.
